Developed in collaboration with one of the EU country’s health agencies, decentralized and privacyprotecting iOS and Android apps empower users to protect their own and their communities health. App must ensure compliance with the EU’s ePrivacy Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). No third party should be able to obtain users virus exposure and health data.

02 Solution

User installs Bluetooth and Ultrasound enabled app, and shares geolocation with the government health agency servers. When user is in proximity of a person that has recently tested positive, user receives exposure notificationsUser has options to enable personal-symptom checker, and with cryptographically protected identity register on the health agency’s site as self-quarantinedConsent is required for each functionality individuallypersonal-symptom trackers, digital contact-tracing and exposure-notification.

03 Effect

The outcome is decentralized app with cryptographically protected data, that alerts users about any recent contacts with anyone who has been diagnosed with the virus. App also provides symptom checker, and self-quarantine registration on the agency site, thereby safeguarding the health of the user and community and prevention of contagion spread.
